The TATRY CARD is valid as a travel ticket for all trains of Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko, a. s. (ZSSK) (Slovakia Railways Company) on routes of the Tatra Electric Railways (TEŽ – Slovak abbreviation) (Štrba – Štrbské Pleso, Štrbské Pleso – Starý Smokovec – Poprad-Tatry, Starý Smokovec – Tatranská Lomnica) and the route Poprad-Tatry – Studený Potok– Tatranská Lomnica when staying or making holiday in this area. The passengers don’t stamp their TATRY CARD at the stamping machines. When being checked by the staff of ZSSK, they are obliged to show their TATRY CARD along with a valid identity card, passport or any other type of document with an up-todate photograph, name, surname and date of birth (children 6 – 16 years).

Would you like to admire beautiful valleys in the Tatras in summer? Do you need insurance but you don’t know where to take it out? With our regional card, you can enjoy hiking trips along marked tourist trails and you are insured for rescue and searching operations of the Mountain Rescue Service if they were necessary. The GENERALI Mountain insurance for the Slovak Republic covers the costs of Mountain Rescue Service operations. The TATRY CARD includes the Basic insurance:  hiking in summer (in the mountains, walking in the area);
                                                                 Sum insured: 16 500 € (The insurance doesn’t cover medical expenses).
                                                                 Period of insurance: validity period of the TATRY CARD 1 – 3 nights (2 – 4 days).   
                                                                 In the event of longer stays, the card can be topped up again at individual accommodation providers

Be sure to inform the staff of each partner in advance that you are a TATRY Card holder. The amount of discount, discounted price, benefit or free service is stated in the description of each product and is fixed during the season, the price change for each service provider is reserved. Unless otherwise defined for a particular product or service, discounts apply throughout the summer season from 1.5. 2019 until November 30, 2019.
