Spišská BeláThis is a medieval Spis town founded in 1263. The town square is dominated by the splendid architecture of the church of St Anton, built in the 19th century on the site of the former roman style church which dated from 1264. Approximately 200m from the church there is the J.M.Petzval Museum dedicated to this famous scientist and inventor of high intensity photography. The museum contains a fine collection of cameras andd old photographic equipment. High Tatras:
The town of High Tatras was founded in 1947 and it has a population of 5,000 residents. The Administrative centre of the town is Stary Smokovec, which together with Tatranska Lomnica and Strbske Pleso provides the focal point for one of the three most important Tatra tourist resorts. High Tatras covers an area of 398 square km and is one of the largest cities in the Slovak republic.
