Facts: Trail No.10: Starting point: 1250 a.s.l. Ending point: 1498 a.s.l. Total trail length: 11,0 km (2x5,5 km) Elevation: 248 m The starting point of Cyclo-trail no.10 is to be found in front of the bridge over the Poprad river, aproximately 6km west of Vysne Hagy site and near to the junction of the main road II/537 and the local road to Popradske Pleso - Tarn. The first 1,25 km long section of this trail, ends near to the TEZ-train stop, Popradske pleso, and is an asphalt covered road that has almost no vertical drop. From here the second part of trail begins at about 4,25 km. This part of the trail is much steeper and its direct route is inter-spaced from time to time by bends in the road. The trail ends near the mountain hotel Popradske Pleso, which is located near one of the most beautiful of the Tatra tarns. It provides excelent views of Mengusovska valley and "Ostrva" pass. The downhill return route can be a little dangeroues especially for non experienced bikers, so it is essential that care be exercised during the return whilst riding along these curves. The trail is medium to heavy and is suitable for all kinds of bikes.

High Tatras:
The town of High Tatras was founded in 1947 and it has a population of 5,000 residents. The Administrative centre of the town is Stary Smokovec, which together with Tatranska Lomnica and Strbske Pleso provides the focal point for one of the three most important Tatra tourist resorts. High Tatras covers an area of 398 square km and is one of the largest cities in the Slovak republic.
